Thanks.
I've been vacationing and stuff lately, hence the lack of much postage. Anything new I might have missed?

Hawt. What brand is it? I've been looking at LaCies lately.
I had a 250GB Maxtor a while back that pwned my datas.

Btw, Barbie, just once I'd like to argue against Israel, the problem is that their are always plenty of annoying people willing to do that, and someone has to make sure things stay fair, like.
Ban some smackheads, please.

You should strike up a conversation with tralalala sometime. He's been uber-brainwashed by the Israeli government.
Isn't he due to get drafted by the armed forces sometime soon

Cheebus should totally try it if he hasn't.
Even JP might like it, come to think of it. You spell words to pwn enemies.

Hells yeah, we've got more churches than you can shake a stick at, apparently. And half a convent.
And swap meets.
I like how they begin by telling you it's in the heart of an old mining district. From their on in you can tell just how exciting the place is.
EDit: FFS, I just found the gayest wordfilter ever. Well played.

Passed another job interjew.
The one for the booking-system thingie.
Might get it, seems pretty promising. They reckon I've taken the exact right courses and all. And the languages and other stuff I know might come in very handy as well.

Lulz. Now I've got an interview for an IT-support job as well.
I'm liek vastly overqualified, and they seem rly interested.
I'd rather take the other one, though, but I dunno when I can start doing that.

That would be worth it, Shirley.

It shirley wood. I'd be making a tad less money, though.
But on the other hand I'm pretty much fucked if I don't start working soon, anyways. About to run out of money, like, as I didn't get to do any teachxoring last month. I fucked up and called the wotsits that pass out mine and my parents' tax money to drug fiends and whatnot, and they enrolled me in some arsehole job-seeker scheme, even though I haven't actually asked them for money yet. I just called to make sure I have the forms, like, if I run out of options, but it would appear they stop listening about two seconds into the conversation. If I refuse going there in two weeks I can't get support, ever..

Not saying that couldn't be fun, like. Assuming you are a masochist wot likes having to call in every day of the week to some fat lying mentalist woman and report what you've done with your day in order to get a job, or learning how to write a resume even though you already have one, or learning how to use a computer in order to write your resume, wot you've already written, or how to apply to jobs you've already applied for, or working for free while having the same fat mentalist check up on you every day.
That about sums up the impression I got last time they made me go their, though I got sent home straight away once they actually got around to asking me about my situation as I already had a job.
I'm really learning to appreciate our system in new and unexpected ways, lately.

I think the travel software job would be more stimulating for you, but it depends if you want to be stimulated at work or not.
Both sound pretty promising, and it's always good to get any practical commercial IT experience under your belt.

Yeah, I guess they both may be good. What's ticking me off is that I may not have a choice in accepting one over the other. With luck, though, I'll know better what my options are before the evil witches start poking they're noses into my business, like.
As for stimulation I don't really mind doing the it-support thing, it may well be cushy as tickle. The pay's not that good, but the workload might be pretty light. It won't do me any favours if I don't get a job doing what I'm trained for, though, as I feel it's pretty easy to lose your edge, programming-wise, if you don't keep it up.
What annoys me most is that the business is like screaming for developers and programmers, but hardly anyone seems to want to take on new people yet, everyone wants people with more experience right know, but could they please hold on to my papers 'cos they may need me later.
'cept for the travel booking people, but the head executive what's handling my possible employment keeps going away on business, so I'm not getting any answers on when they want me to start, or even if they still want me. He was talking about something as late as january, but I really can't go without knowing if I have a job then much longer.
If they tell me I can start working then, though, I can make it without having to take another job or asking for government money, like. I can always shift some money wot I'm hiding back, if I know I can replace it later, if their's less than two months to go.
^I realise that sounds like I'm running a scam or something, but given that I'm not insured or owt atm, I may well need that money if I get ill or something, or I may have to start paying off my student loan soon, so I don't want to use my last, small, reserve yet.

their's no reason why you can't take job B, and then leave it if/when job A becomes available. Usually when you start new you'll be on a probationary notice period, so you'll probably only have to give a week's notice or something.
I did that once.

The probationary period is short as pants, apparently, for both of them. Three weeks or something.
Not that it matters any more, 'cos I just got told the travel-booking people went with "another solution", which is a clever way of saying they choose not to employ someone at all, I think, given that they also said they wanted to get back to me later on when they need more people.
So basically it's IT-support, or more IT-support, as she offered to maybe sign me up for a second gig like that.
